Last weekend, Coach Corey Applegate assisted by mentors Lori and David Dale, taught a class in partnership with Community Education. The class was called “Eureka Engineering!”. Seven elementary school students enjoyed the opportunity to work with LEGO EV3 kits to assemble robots to battle and to race. They especially enjoyed the battle robots.

The students also had the chance to see Jupiter, the Gearheads 2019 robot. They were impressed!

Meanwhile, at our meeting on Monday, we worked on a variety of tasks. This included organizing our wood storage space, 3D printing parts for the robot, assembling a wheel-storage display, and getting Candybot ready for its next appearance, at Trunk or Treat at Westwood Church on Thursday (Halloween) at Westwood Church.
