Preparations for MRI, and Fundraising

This weekend we will be participating in our final competition with "Super Sir Antsabot".  On Saturday, we will be competing at the Minnesota Robotics Invitational in Roseville.  On Monday, we gave some potential new drivers time to familiarize themselves with the robot.  Ethan and Gabe did a great job picking up the cube, lining the robot up, and dropping the cube off on a cart that we used to simulate the switch.  Austin was there to coach them in the finer points. We are excited to see how it all goes.

If you are interested in attending the competition, it will be at Roseville Area High School.  We would love to have some St. Cloud area spectators cheering us on!  If you want more information, here is a link to the website for the event: Minnesota Robotics Invitational

If you cannot make it but would like to watch online, it will be available at this link: MRI Livestream.  Look for a green box in the upper right it will say "Watch Now" or similar wording.

Now all of these fun competitions don't come free.  The Gearheads spent more than we budgeted for last year, due to our qualification for Championships and State, so we are hoping for our fundraising efforts this fall to be even more fruitful than usual.  If you know of any local companies that might consider supporting us, please let us know.  Upon request, we can demo the robot to them. This fall would be easier than during build season (January and February) because we will be very busy at that time building the new robot during that time.

We even received help with the mailings from a couple of our build mentors.  Here they are working on the mailings:
