Preparing for the Minnesota Robotics Invitational

This weekend the Gearheads will be participating in our last competition with our 2019 robot, Jupiter. On Saturday, Oct. 12, we will be competing with 35 other teams at the Minnesota Robotics Invitational at Roseville Area High School. If there is a live-stream of the competition, we will post a link on the day of the competition. Like all FIRST events, this is free and open to the public, so if you are in the area, stop by and see the event. There will be concessions, so there will be plenty of food to purchase, and a raffle at the event. If you come, wear your orange, if you have any!

At our meeting this week we gave some potential new members the chance to drive the robot. Natalie showed them how each of the robot controls worked and handled the other controller.

We also started working on a test robot. This one will have a 6 wheel drive and Colsons wheels. Our veteran team members are excited to try this out in the preseason to see how it might perform in the regular season. When the new game is revealed we will decide if this is the system that we choose to use.
